Nestlé

Nestlé is the world’s largest food & beverage company. It is a Swiss company and the headquarters are held in Vevey in Switzerland. Its been the largest publicly held food company in the world, measured by revenue and other metrics, since 2014. Its founder Henri Nestle started in 1866 with the foundation of the Anglo-Swiss condensed milk company, continued with the invention of breakthrough baby food in 1967 and by the early 1900’s Nestle was a well known global dairy company with more than 20 factories. Surviving throughout the two world wards, Nestlé pioneered by launching new products such as Nescafé and Maggi that made life easier for consumers. In the 1970’s it grew with various acquisitions and diversified into parmaceuticals and cosmetics. Towars the end of the 20th century Nestlé continued growing, letting go of unprofitable brands and focusing on its new strategy of “Nutrition, Health and Welness”. The new century finds the company focusing on further developing sustainable supply chains, growing in infant formula, frozen foods and medical nutrition. Today its further growing in medical and plant-based nutrition and committs to recyclable packaging ad net zero emissions.
